About Winter

In a nutshell...

Her music has featured on BBC Introducing, ITV, she was a session singer and lyricist in Paris, she has performed in the fashionable Knightsbridge in London and her music was played throughout the Olympic Park as part of the closing ceremonies in 2012. Do you need to know more?

The long version (if you have some time)

Winter, born Francesca Winters, used to climb to the top of the slide in playgroup and say “I’ll sing you a song”. Everyone else just wanted to go down the slide... Nothing has changed. Any excuse to sing or perform and she is there. After studying Drama, Media & Art at A level she went to performing arts college to study musical theatre but after 2 years dropped out to work on pop music & urban dance. She formed, performed & choreographed the dance & parkour group “The Art Of Urban Movement”. All while she wrote original music for them to add to there live shows.

Francesca was contacted by ITV FIXERS to help with a project “dance don’t diet” to promote healthy living in young girls. This lead to her music being featured on ITV Anglia News where presenter Becky Jago commented how talented Francesca was (viewable on YouTube).

Francesca went on tour as a dancer and choreographer for the singer REESON which got her to work with some great music producers and record labels. Then in 2012, The Art Of Urban Movement was asked to perform at the Olympic Park to entertain the crowds as part of the closing ceremonies. This meant some of Francesca original music written with Twisted Lewis resonated through the park as part of the live shows.

Upon arriving home after the Olympics she had a voicemail from  a producer in Paris who asked to meet her. She spent the next few years going backwards and forwards to Paris writing lyrics and recording songs. Many of which will be released in 2020.  In 2016 she started to also gig and work with Charley-ann as “True Fable” as well as releasing the charity single “Pretend It’s OK”. In 2017 she got pregnant with her son and started to get back to work in 2018. She decided to release some of the songs featured at the London Olympics in mid 2019 and uploaded them to BBC introducing Suffolk. Within only a matter of weeks her song Future Now was chosen to be played on air. She is available for gigs both originals and cover songs.
